We are leaving tomorrow for Dallas. We have friends that moved there a couple of months ago that we are going to visit and then see the Cotton Bowl on Friday. I hope Ole Miss brings the team that played Florida and Texas Tech brings their OU squad:) It will be fun regardless. We are meeting Clint's Uncle Lynn and cousin David so that makes it even better. I've never been to a bowl game so I'm really excited.
Lindsay took a ton of pictures at our family Christmas. As soon as I get copies, I'll post some. I finally figured out how to add pictures and hopefully can do it again. Leann and Mom had pictures that we downloaded to the computer upstairs. I didn't realize it was logged onto Wyatt's user name and changed user the next time I worked on it. Anyway, I don't know his password to get to his files to get to the pictures that I have on that computer so I can't add anymore yet. Make sense?
Leann now know how to add to the blog so she can add stuff about her gang. I still haven't got Jan and Beth on board yet. Whitney and Lindsay have a blog for their kids so you can keep up with them that way. Whitney's is: littlebrooksbee.blogspot.com and Lindsay's is barrontriplets.blogspot.com
They both have hilarious posts that make me laugh.

Family Fun
We had our family Christmas at John and Rhonda's last night. Let me first say thanks to them for hosting. They have a new house with enough room for Lindsay and her crew when they are home to visit. Anyway, it is gorgeous! Most of us were there. Arin's girlfriend Savannah was there so we got to meet her. She didn't run out of the house screaming "God save me from crazy people" so I guess she thought we were normal enough. Cole had a friend(??) there named Skyler. I'm sure I didn't spell that right, but anyway, she also didn't run away screaming:) The triplet have gotten so big. I got to thinking, I think I've only seen them once since last year. That is really pitiful so I'm going to make more of an effort to see them when they are home for visits. Zoey was talkative as ever and enjoyed playing with 'my cousins'. Baby Charlie is precious. We, of course, fought over him. GreatGrandma held him a lot, no one had the heart to take him from her. I did get somewhat of a baby fix that probably won't tie me over until March. Hurry up, Carson Cole!
Wyatt has 4 of his best friends in from the Marine Corp so he went with them to a concert. They will only be together for a few more days until they have to go their separate ways. Andrew, Whitney's husband also wasn't there. Paul was working and couldn't be there either. I think everyone else was there, plus the Crabtree's. I don't remember a time that we haven't known them. They have been such a blessing to our family.
Clint still loves his new job. I'm enjoying my time off from school but will probably be ready to go back by next Monday. We are headed to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl (Go REBS) on Thursday. The game is Friday but we are meeting up with some friends on Thursday. Alex and Charles and baby Hunter. We had dinner with them last week and have really missed getting to see them since they moved.
Well, I'm off to a baby shower for Baby Carson.

Merry Christmas to all!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. We had Wyatt, Ethan and one of our "3rd sons" on Christmas morning. Wyatt's buddy Brett is home from the Marine Corp for the holidays and spent Christmas morning with us. We didn't get up until 9:00 and then had brunch. Uncle David and Aunt Carolyn gave us a griddle thingy (I'm not the cook in the family) and Clint made pancakes, sausage and eggs. It was yummy. After that, I went back to bed and read/dozed until time to make cookies and dinner for us. We had Alfredo and garlic bread. Wyatt and Ethan had some friends over to eat with us, plus Mom and Daddy got home yesterday (hallelujah!) and Beth was here too. I made sugar cookies that were hopefully better than the cookies Brett gets in an MRE. Beth made two pies, both pecan, that were half gone when I got up this morning. I had left over cookies for breakfast b/c you can pick those up and eat them while taking the dogs out. Clint is such a good guy. I went to bad at 7:30 and he took care of the dogs until they got us up at 7:00 this morning. Then, I went back to bed and didn't get up until 10:00. I think this week finally caught up with me.
We had a water line break on Monday night. Or was is Sunday night? The days have run together. William the Plumber got it fixed, plus several other plumbing problems taken care of for us. He's coming back next week to finish EVERYTHING PLUMBING in the house. We won't know how to act with every toilet, sink and shower working like it should:)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Please keep Clint's grandmother, MamaKin, and his Uncle David in your prayers. She fell last week and fractured her pelvis. She is in a long term care facility and seems to be doing very well. I fell when I was pregnant with Wyatt and had the same type of injury. I was 80 years younger than MamaKin and still had a hard time dealing with how painful it is. The doctor's aren't quite sure how to treat someone her age with this type of injury. Imagine that, she's only 102:)

I can't feel my toes!
Well, sometimes I amaze myself at how dumb I can be. I thought since the wind chill is 12 that if I just let Lance out, he would do his business and come right back in. Wrong. I just spent and hour trying to get him to come inside and so now I can't feel my toes OR my ears. I didn't think I would be outside that long so I didn't dress for it. Now that I'm inside I have my hat on. I also have on 2 pair of socks and my big furry slippers. I can see Lance through the window in the den. He's just walking along the perimeter of the deck. Twit. He's not that furry and I'm sure he's cold. Oh well, he'll eventually get cold enough or tired enough to come in.
The temperature between this morning and yesterday morning is a 60 degree swing. I think the cold might be easier to take if it slowly got colder.
We are out of school today. I'm wondering if it was as much for the horrifically cold temps as well as the roads. Clint said he really didn't have problems getting to work this morning. I'm happy for the day off. I got the game room tree up yesterday (it has an Ole Miss theme) and hope to get the living room tree up this morning. I have gifts to go under the tree so I should really get a tree to put them under.
Lance is whining at the back door. Maybe he'll actually come in this time:)

Oops
Apparently I don't know what I'm doing b/c I published with a sentence only half finished. Anyway, this past week has been crazy. Last Saturday, Clint comes home about 15 minutes after he left the house because he was having chest pains. He was a sickly gray color and his blood pressure was high. We went to St. Francis and he stayed 2 days while they ran tests. Since his Daddy died at age 34 of a massive heart attack, they really didn't want to send him home until they were sure it wasn't a heart attack. All of the tests showed that he has a healthy heart (Thank God) and the blood flows very well through his heart. The found a haital hernia that can cause esophageal spasms that mimic a heart attack. The doc told him no more spicy foods, caffeine, high fat foods and carbonated drinks. So, everything Clint likes to eat and drink. I told him that life as he knew it is over because he really scared me. We are going to join the YMCA and start trying to make changes to our lifestyle that we can stick to. I got to go to school Tuesday but started throwing up Tuesday night so I missed Wednesday. Then, I had the rest of the training in OKC on Thursday and Friday and drove back and forth each day. I'm ready for a normal week at school, but I'll have to wait until after the Christmas break because this is the last week before the break. Need I say more:)
Holiday Traffic and good parking karma
Clint and I did some Christmas shopping today. We left the house at noon and needed to be back by 3:00. I'm thinking we'd never get all of it done and as usual, if it crosses my brain it exits the mouth. Clint was convinced we could. So, first stop Walgreens, then the Dollar Tree. We went from there to a cigar store for cigar boxes (instead of gift bags) then to Secret Garden Candles (there is a new one at 81st and Harvard). Next was WalMart Neighborhood Market, True Value Hardware and finally the cleaners. We actually made it home at 2:55, just in time for me to eat a little crow. I hate it when I'm wrong and Clint is right. I'm sure it was because we got great parking places at all our stops and we didn't go anywhere near the mall:)
We went to the PSO Parade of Lights Christmas parade this evening. We went with Bert, Andrea and Mackyna. Before the parade, we met them at Joe Mamma's pizza for dinner. Wyatt, Ashlee, Ethan, Keaton & Adam (2 of the boys' friends) went with us to dinner. We had a good time. I'm so blessed that Wyatt and Ethan have a really good group of friends. They are really neat kids. One of Wyatt's buddies is going to spend Christmas with us. He's coming in on leave from the Marine Corp before he ships out to Afganistan in March.
I finished up a 4 day workshop on Autism. I really learned a lot. I had the stomach flu

Halleluah!
Well, Clint has a job. He took the job with the Homeless project here in Tulsa. He works with the homeless population mostly. He really likes it so far. He's on the 'green office' committee which is kind of funny since we only started recycling in the past year. Never too late to start:)
I had a workshop in OKC today. I've already learned a lot about autism and I have tomorrow and 2 days next week. I have an assistive technology workshop on Monday so I'm sure my head will exploded from all the knowledge:)
Ethan has a game tonight. I'm getting ready to leave. Clint is at the pottery studio and will meet me there. It is the weekly dinner at Beth's tonight. I think she's cooking chicken and dressing. It is really good. She made a cherry cobbler last night that I had to taste while I was there. I'm going to start calling her Paula Dean. But, since we are from Arkansas and it is in the south, I should just start calling her by her childhood name of CorBeth. That's actually Cora Beth to those not from AR.
I'm ready for Mom and Daddy to get home from Texas. It turned cold here so I'm glad Daddy is where it is warm, but I miss them.
I think I've figured out what I want Carson Cole to call me and Clint: Grammers and Grammpers. (teacher/grammar, get it?) Maybe if I have to explain it then it is too big a stretch. Anyway, I like it.
Got to go. Dinner is waiting......

sorry
Ok, so I don't know how to upload a picture. Check out Lindsay's blog to see new pics of baby Charlie.
Total Bedlam!
Actually, I'm talking about our life this past week! Clint talked with a private law firm and has an offer to work there, he also has an offer to be the attorney for the Homeless Project in Tulsa. It is a non-profit organization that helps homeless people, many of whom are veterans. Anyway, he'll make a decision by Monday afternoon.
I'm watching the OU/OSU game. The score right now is 51-41 OU. I'd love to see OSU play Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Rumor is that Ole Miss will get an invite. We went to the Egg Bowl (against Miss State) yesterday. It was an awesome game. Ole Miss won 45-0. Then, when we got back to MamaKin's house, we watched the end of the Arkansas/ LSU game and watched LSU LOOSE! It was a good day.
We have a new great grandbaby. Lindsay had baby Charley Johnson Barron on Wednesday. He was over 7 pounds and only 18 and a fourth inches long. He's a rolly polly. I think I can upload one of the pictures to this page, I'll try. Lindsay has a blog for the triplets www.barrontriplets.blogspot.com
She updates it a lot. Whitney has one for Zoey. www.littlebrooksbee.blogspot.com
Well, I'm too tired to stay up and see who wins. OU is on OSU 10 yard line so it doesn't look good for OSU.
I'm glad the game is the ABC game of the week so Mom & Daddy can watch from warm South Texas.

Turkey day is fast approaching!
We are leaving for Mississippi tomorrow. The boys are going to stay home and take care of the dogs. Ethan has basketball practice this weekend. The season starts next week. Wyatt's friend Ray (another one of the boys that show up here and call me Mom) is home from the Marine Corp. We had dinner for him and whomever else wanted to be here. We ended up with Keaton, Wyatt, Ray, Ethan, Danika, Ashlee and Jackie. I got to see Ashlee's baby bump. I'm SO excited and ready for Carson Cole to be here.
Clint had a job interview this afternoon. I haven't heard from him yet so I'm hoping it is good news. He's trying to not get discouraged, but it has been hard.
Mom and Daddy left for the valley yesterday. I'm already ready for them to come home for Christmas:) Beth talked to them today and they were headed into San Antonio for dinner. We always eat at the same restaurant on the river walk when we're there. The best Mexican food ever!
Remember our family in your prayers during the next few weeks. The holidays are always hard since we lost Corey. Also, this is Jan & Paul's family's first holiday season since Bill past away last December. I can't believe it has been almost 4 years since I got to rub Corey's buzzed hair.
Ok, non-sad thoughts: The bedlam games are this weekend. We will be at the Ole Miss/Mississippi State game on Friday night. Of course, there is a chance of rain. It ALWAYS rains when I'm in MS and usually during the Egg Bowl. The OU/OSU game should be really good too. I hope we are home in time on Saturday to see it.
I took Lance to the kennel while we are gone. I HATE to leave him. He does fine, I'm the one who fights tears. Good grief, how awful is it going to be when I don't see Carson Cole for a few days? Yikes!

correction
I didn't proof the post before I published. In the sentence 'maybe I will loose weight to' it should be 'too'. (The teacher never stops being a teacher:)
Thanksgiving update
Ok, I was supposed to post after we all got together for Victoria's birthday because Leann took offense to the "old" comment I made about her having a daughter that was 25. And, after seeing how great she looks I agree that it was untrue:) Leann has lost a lot of weight and cut her hair. She looks awesome (I'm very jealous). The bright side to her being smaller than me (at least I am still 2 years younger even if I don't look it) is that she brought me her 'fat' clothes so I have plenty of new things to wear.
I took my class to an indoor pool at the Owasso YMCA on Friday. They had a great time. I wish we had a facility close to school that we could go to. It had an area that had fairly strong flowing currents that really work your leg muscles. I woke up really sore Saturday. But, that wasn't enough torture for me, so we went to one of my class parent's house and helped cut down a tree (well, I watched) and loaded branches to haul off. We will end up with a full pickup load of firewood for this winter. I helped load the branches so there was plenty of bending and reaching. Maybe this will jump start me to loose weight to. I had lost about 20 pounds until the evil Halloween candy showed up at my house. Stupid Twix.
We are headed to Mississippi for Thanksgiving. Clint's grandmother is 102 and really doing fairly well. The Egg Bowl is in Oxford this year. Go REBS! Mom and Daddy are going to leave for the valley today. I hate it when they are gone, but they love being down south when it is cold here. Lindsay is going to have baby Charley on Monday so I would imagine that John and Rhonda will be in Dallas. I'm not sure what Leann, Beth and Jan are doing. If they would post their news, it would be on here:)
Time to leave for church. Clint needs his pitch pipe so I have to get there early. I usually go early when he does but he had to be there at 8:00 and I had trouble getting moving this morning.
If you log on and read this, I'd love to hear your family news too. My email is 4sistersclosets@gmail.com

Happy Birthday Victoria!
Today is Victoria's 25th birthday. I can't believe that the grandbabies are in their 20's now except for Zach, Wyatt and Ethan. Even then, Ethan is the only one still in high school. When did they all grow up? Grandma, Aunt Beth and I sent flowers to her work. She's coming in this weekend for us to celebrate. Hopefully Zoey will feel better so Whitney can come. Zoey had a double ear infection this week. Ouch. I remember the first ear infection I had. I called Leann and apologized for calling her a whiner when she would get them. I had no idea they hurt so much. I don't remember having one when I was little, just the one in high school.
Today is Veteran's Day. We had a program at school to honor them. I told Misty and Shelley to take the kids and I didn't go. Not because I'm not thankful for them and admire them more than any other group of people on the planet, but because I never made it through the National Anthem without crying and since Corey died, I really can't hear patriotic songs. The assembly lasted about 45 minutes and recognized all the veterans that came to school today. I knew I would be a bawling mess by the end of it. When I helped them get to the gym, they were playing Lee Greenwood's Proud to be an American and I almost lost it then. Four of Wyatt's buddies are in the Marine Corp. I worry about them and what the new administration will mean for national security. Brett (one of Wyatt's friends) is leaving for Afganistan soon.
Well, I'm still getting out all of our winter clothes. I didn't realize I had so many. I'm going through and if it isn't wash and wear, I'm probably going to donate it to John 3:16 Mission or Goodwill.
Sunday's teaching at church was on the last Beatitude. Blessed are those who are persecuted. I take for granted how great a life we have and the blessings of being free to worship without being beaten or killed. None of that could happen without our Veterans.
Wow, that got a little serious. So, on a fun tone, Wyatt and Keaton (one of his best friends) were playing the board game version of Millionaire and Wyatt called me for the "phone a friend" to ask me who wrote Winnie the Pooh. I actually knew that one. (A.A. Milne) Then he called back later to ask Clint what color blood does an octopus have? Well, the answer to that one is blue. I love fun facts!

Few things beat a roaring fire
Clint and I are enjoying the first fire in the fireplace for this fall. He played guitar and sang for me too. I love sitting against the hearth and staying there until my back gets so hot I have to move. I remember when Mom would cook a pot of chili or stew over the fire while we were at school. It would taste sooo good. The swing arm is still there so I think Clint is going to use it one weekend and fix something yummy.
Clint had an interview with the DA's office this past week. He should hear early this week if he is getting called in a for a second interview. PRAY with us that he is offered a job with the DA's office or with Legal Aid (he interviewed with them, too.)
Both the boys are doing great. Ethan is trying to get enough rest. He's having allergy problems so he's taking Zyrtec (??) and eye drops. Basketball season is in full swing with scrimages and long practices. Wyatt is working for a marketing company. He's applying for a second job with Jenks schools. I think he would be great working with kids.
Mom and Daddy are heading down to South Texas soon. I'm not ready for them to leave, but they are ready to head to warmer weather. It hasn't been too cold here yet, but the cold is coming.
I think I'm going to Beth's Monday night to play with Zoey while Whitney and Beth do something fabric. I'm not talented with that kind of stuff.
Victoria's birthday is Tuesday. She's 25! Leann is old........

Whiney Dogs and other annoying sounds......
Explain to me how a dog that will eat your face if you come close to me, snarf at Nadia when she gets close to me is too scared to WALK BY Nadia? Lance is SUCH a baby! Seriously, I just got up & stood between Lance and Nadia so he could walk into the room. Yes, I know I'm enabling him to be a twit, but his bark is REALLY loud and it annoys Mom & Daddy, as well as Nadia who howls at Lance to shut-up. I can usually ignore anything, I am a mom and a teacher too, but that hurts my ears. Maybe I shouldn't let him lay on the couch beside me with his head in my lap if he's going to bark so much:-)
I voted today. People don't know me very well if they actually ask who I voted for. 3rd generation (that I know of) Republican. I think being a Democrat is the only thing Clint thinks is actual grounds for divorce:-) Daddy asked Clint not long after our wedding if he would have married me if I'd been a Democrat. Clint actually paused before answering. Anyway, it will be very interesting to see who wins and how the country reacts. Regardless of who wins, we still need to pray for our nation. I think the next 4 years are going to be very hard on all of us.
Must go now, I think Clint has dinner ready:)

Another BabyCole
Ashlee has picked a name: Carson Cole. So, there will be another BabyCole. I'm not sure if she's going to call him Carson or Cole. I like them both so I'm happy either way.
Wyatt's court date went great. We got the best possible outcome that we could have hoped for. The marine corp isn't completely ruled out, just postponed for a while. He has some fines, community service and probation:)
My class is going pretty well. I have one student that is seeking attention the wrong ways. I'm looking for ways to keep him from hurting one of my other kids.
Clint had an interview today with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. It serves indigent, poor and elderly clients. He thought it went well so we are hoping they offer him a job.
Ethan's basketball season starts Saturday with a tournament. He's home early today (which is unusual) and he said it was b/c 2 of the players were in a car wreck this morning. They are banged up but will be ok. 1 was ejected from the vehicle so it is a miracle he wasn't seriously hurt. I hope E learns the seatbelt lesson from this:)
We had our first freeze last night. I only thought I was ready for winter.
More later, Lance is whining (imagine that)

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy!!!!!
Well, Ashlee had an ultrasound on Monday. Wyatt's baby is a BOY. In one of the pictures he is sucking his thumb. Wyatt did that too so of course it made me cry. her due date is the middle of March. I asked Wyatt if it seemed real to him that he's going to be a dad and he said it has always seemed real. Well, I've been excited since I found out, but it really seems real to me now. Ashlee made me copies of the pictures so I've already started an album.
Ethan is at the homecoming dance tonight. He looked very handsome in his tux. Paige's dress was navy blue with silver sparkles and his vest, tie and hankie were navy with a black tux and white shirt. I took pictures and if I ever figure out how to post them then I will.
OU lost today. Ole Miss didn't play. i took a 3 hour nap so I missed OU losing. They were ahead when I fell asleep so you can blame me:)

Finally Fall!!!
Well, I guess I'm going to only post about every two weeks or so. But, since I'm the only one who EVER posts, no one can gripe. School is going great. I have 6 kids, 4 boys and 2 girls. Two of my kids have genetic disorders that I had to google because I had never heard of it, 2 have intellectual disabilities and 2 have autism. I REALLY love my job. There hasn't been a day that I'm not ready to get up and go to work. The kids are really sweet and my para-teachers (I have 2) are wonderful. I'm enjoying the people I work with. Sapulpa is very different from Tulsa Public. I'm really glad I made the move. A smaller district operates very differently from the biggest district in the state.
Monday, Ashlee has an ultrasound and she should find out if the baby is a girl or boy. Mom and Daddy had lunch with Jan and Zoey last week. Pequetta told Zoey she was precious and Zoey says "no I'm not, I'm the princess". Which is true. She is adorable. Lindsay was in last weekend but I didn't get to see them. They had a birthday party in Talala and then the OU game in Norman. Did you catch the Ole Miss score last week? The beat Florida in Florida. Today they lost to South Carolina, but only by a touchdown. They are doing much better than the past few years. I wonder how long until another Manning will come along......
I'm not sure when Mom and Daddy will head south. Daddy had a sleep study done last week and I think they get the results back this week. Mom isn't using her breathing machine at night, but is going to once they get back in TX. If Daddy ends up with one, they will both look like something out of Star Wars.
Enjoy the great weather and start the countdown to Halloween, then Thanksgiving and it will be Christmas before we know it.

Does a Full Moon last an entire month?
This month has been full moon crazy weird. The weather is great, which is sort of weird for September in OK, it rained for days and was cold. The temp the other morning was 49 degrees, which when put in one perspective is 17 degress above freezing. The daytime highs are from low70's to low 80's. Like I said, weird.
Wyatt didn't leave for the Marines. He had an incomplete frontal lobe incident with some friends and has some legal issues to resolve. He is talking with an Army guard recruiter and may go that route if he can. Which is probably a good thing since he's going to be a daddy in March. He and Ashlee are expecting a baby. After the initial shock of being a grandma at 42, I'm excited. Its kind of weird. When I was pregnant with the boys, I really wanted to have a boy. With this grandbaby, I really don't have a preference. Just healthy.
Wyatt & Ashlee lost a good friend last week. Their friend Ben was killed in a car accident. He was a really great guy and will be missed. His funeral was Thursday. He was in the army so they had a military honor guard there. It brought back some of the memories of Corey. Same gun salute and taps played. Wyatt has really taken this hard. He looked up to Ben and is also close with Ben's brother Adam. Their group of friends are devastated and trying to make sense of all of it. It is hard to understand why someone so young dies.
School is going well. I have 6 kids now. The other day, one of the boys unscrewed the faucet in the bathroom and was having himself a good time playing the fountain he created. It is hard to get mad at that kind of curiosity.
Got to go take care of Lance. He's barking really loudly and Nadia is griping at him to stop. It is getting REALLY loud downstairs.

Holy Moly
I realized this morning how long it has been since I updated so the 2 other people who usually read this can read what I've told them on the phone:)
School has started. Ethan has tons of homework every night. I'm at school for 10 hours everyday and Clint doesn't get home until 5:15ish so our evenings are busy. I LOVE my new class. It is challenging but worth it. I have 5 kiddos and 2 para-teachers. Sounds easy huh? Join me for a day and you'll see we work hard. The kids are very sweet though and are basically typical kids who happen to have several challenges they have to deal with.
Wyatt leaves in 2 weeks for boot camp. His buddy Scott is back from boot camp so I'm sure he'll update Wyatt on all the realities of it. Speaking of Wyatt, he and his girlfriend of 2 years are going to have a baby the end of February or the first of March. I'm not sure of Ashlee's exact due date. After the initial WHAT?!#!? wore off (in about 3 seconds) I'm very excited. I'm going to be a grandma! I'm hoping Wyatt and Ashlee can work things out between them and make the right decisions. Ashlee is willing to let me be a part of the babies life even if she and Wyatt can't work things out. Our family loves her and she's the mama of one of the greatgrandbabies so she's family now (we thought of her that way even before the baby)
Clint and I went to Mississippi for the season opener of Ole Miss football. Go Rebs! We won 41-24 over Memphis. Houston Nutt is the new coach (thank you Razorbacks). MamaKin is doing ok. We got to visit with Uncle David and Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Lynn and David2. We left Friday after work for MS and got back Sunday evening. Very fast trip but always worth it.
Clint's job plays out the end of September. We are praying for the right full time position to be there when this one is over.
Mom bought a new car last weekend. It is really cool. She bought a Hyundai Elantra. She picked blue since her Dodge was blue and she would be able to remember which car is hers easier:) They went to Norman with Pequeta and Royal this weekend. She and Pete LOVE the casino and I think that's where they are spending most of their time except for Saturday when the OU game was on TV. Last I heard, she had almost won enough to buy her car tag and tax. She and Pete are the luckiest people. I NEVER win so I just quit going.
Beth is painting her dining room and finishing getting her house the way she wants it. She made curtains for my classroom that look really cute. I get tons of compliments on how cute my room looks. Thank you Leann for the hand-me-downs and Beth for the curtains.
If you read this before Sunday the 7th, you're invited to the house for a send off for Wyatt. He leaves the 14th and will be gone for 13 weeks. I'm trying to not be hysterical. I don't go 13 hours w/o talking to the boys and I have to go 13 weeks. Clint says it is time to let him go, I'm thinking NOT! I know it is the best thing for him, but can someone tell me it is ok to just be mommy for a minute and not want him to grow up?????? Since we only have 2 kids, Wyatt gets the reaction for being the first to leave, and Ethan gets it for being my baby. Maybe I should get a life........

August already?
I can't believe that it is already August. July went by really fast. Clint & I went back to school shopping with Ethan yesterday. The mall was insane. I haven't seen it that crazy since Christmas. It is tax-free weekend for clothing and shoes so everyone was shopping. After shopping, Ethan met Boots (Andrew) and Clint & I went to dinner and a movie. We saw the new Mummy. It didn't get good reviews but I liked it. Then we came home and crashed in front of the TV. Ethan went to dinner with a group of friends. Wyatt is in Dallas this weekend. He went to the Brad Paisley concert with a group of friends. At least I think it was Brad Paisley. Anyway, I'm trying to adjust to the thought of him being away from home for long periods of time. I know it is the natural progression of things for your kids to grow up and leave home, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm like Mom, if I had my way, Wyatt and Ethan would never leave. There's nothing Mom likes better than to have everyone here (unless you add Phil cooking while everyone is here).
Beth & I went to Stillwater on Thursday and saw Leann's new room. She's moving to 2nd grade so she shared her stuff that she won't need this year with me. We loaded the back of Beth's HHR until you couldn't see out the back window. Friday, Beth helped me get my room set up and some of the stuff unloaded. I still have a lot of work to do so we're going back on Monday. Jan was going to help Leann paint her room this weekend. I don't think Sapulpa lets you paint but Stillwater does so Leann's class will look VERY cute. My is just institutional white. I'm going to ask about painting but I know I won't get it done before school starts. I walked around the building and looked in other classrooms and didn't see any other colors on the walls. I've met a couple of the teachers. I report the 12th and school starts the 20th. My days of sleeping in are numbered.........

Family Reunion
Clint & I had a really great trip to Oxford for the family reunion on his mom's side of the family. MamaKin is 102 and was able to be there. She recognized who we were. It took her a little while because of all the other faces she saw that day. We got to visit with Clint's Aunt Jan and Uncle Lynn and his cousin David2 and Stacy. Uncle David and Aunt Carolyn worked really hard on making the reunion great. We had fresh garden green beans, creamed corn & tomatoes. Aunt Carolyn baked 4 different kinds of cookies that were awesome. I ate WAY to much but it was worth the pound I gained. David2 and Stacy are expecting their first baby in December. They had a DVD of an ultrasound. It was soooo cool. They are having a boy. Clint, Uncle Lynn and David2 went to Tunica on Saturday after the reunion. I went shopping and still spent less than Clint did :) Then, Sunday morning we went to church with MamaKin. We were back in Tulsa by 7:00. Beth called me and said Nadia was wailing so much she brought her inside. (Nadia and CoCo don't really get along that well) I kenneled Lance at the vet's office so I picked him up Monday. He was VERY glad to see me. They said he did really well being boarded. I think it was harder on me to leave him than it was for him to stay there. The tech said he was very sweet. I guess he didn't try to eat her face off......
Ethan is at the lake with friends. I've talked to him several times and he's having a great time.
Wyatt is enjoying his summer until he leaves for boot camp:)
Mom and Daddy left Friday morning for Harlingen. A friend of theirs called and said their RV had damage from Hurricane Dolly (? I guess I should have watched the news this summer) so Jan drove them down and helped them get everything cleaned up. They had some water damage from a vent pulling loose on the roof of the 5th wheel. They got it replaced and everything dried out. Jan crawled on the top of the RV to replace the part and caulk around the new vent. I hope Mom had her video camera:) It is as hot there as here so they worked in the mornings and I think shopped in the afternoons. There is an outlet mall not to far from the RV. They have a Coach store there so I'm waiting to see how many purses Jan comes home with. It might have been cheaper for Paul to have just bought Mom & Daddy a new RV than let Jan loose in a Coach store:)
I'm headed to my new school to work on my classroom. Leann is moving to 2nd grade so I have a huge load of resources from her kindergarten stuff loaded in the back of the LandRover. I'm going back later in the week to pick up the rest. Phil and Clint are such great teacher husbands. They just smile and load vehicles and help us move all of it. We went to Stillwater last night and picked up 'stuff' and then had dinner with Leann, Phil, Victoria and Amanda (Leann's friend) at a new place in Stillwater called Crepe Murtle's. It was really good. We all had a crepe for dessert with cake batter ice cream. It really tastes like cake batter. I could get addicted to it.
More later..........

Nine Years Ago Today
Well, nine years ago today it was just as hot as today only I was wearing a long, heavy satin dress with a long train on it. Yes, today is our ninth anniversary. Some days it feels like yesterday, other days it seems like forever (the good kind). We are going to The Melting Pot for dinner tonight to celebrate and then tomorrow we leave for the Oxford family reunion. Sounds kind of like our honeymoon. Too bad we couldn't fit Vegas into this trip so Tunica will have to do. I think Clint will probably go with his cousin and I'll stay and read. I'm worn out from working outside in the heat trying to get the yard and garage cleaned up before school starts. Or, maybe I'm just getting old. Nah, its HOT outside.....

Stuff, Stuff and more Stuff
If you look at the front of our house, there is this addition on the north end that looks like a garage (the double garage doors gives it away). Well, I had this crazy idea that we should PARK in the garage. So, since there were only trails through it, I knew I needed to clean it out. Well, the problem with that is I'm only human and fairly out of shape to boot. Every time I went out there to start cleaning, I looked around, moved one or two things around, got overwhelmed and came back inside. Clint agreed with me that we need help (with the garage:) and so Saturday morning we started a cleaning marathon. Ethan, Wyatt, Dylan and Adam (2 of the boy's friends) helped us empty it out. They hauled off 2 loads to the landfill with at least one more to go, and 3 loads to Goodwill. While they were carrying everything out, we organized by either things we need to sort through from the house storage and my school stuff. (My school stuff had more quantity than 35 years worth of house stuff. Sad, but true.) Then, Clint put up shelves in the garage and the boys brought it back inside. We consolidated down to a little over half full with room to work. I plan on having a garage sale sometime in August. THEN, hopefully we can park in the garage. It will hold 2 cars with A LOT of storage or 3 cars with ample storage. Ethan wants to park in there this winter too, so we'll see how much stuff I can get rid of.
Saturday night Clint and I met Leann and Jan at Creek Casino for a concert. Restless Heart was playing there. The show was awesome. I forget how much I love listening to live music. It was standing room only and very hot but worth it. We had a great time.
Sunday after church we went to see the new Batman movie. It was really good. I'm now a Christian Bale fan. I need to see Batman Begins (I think that is the name of it). After the movie we took a nap and then went to small group Bible study. All in all a really good and productive weekend.
BTW- I passed my severe/profound certification teaching test. Whew----

In the Hot 'Ol Summer Time
It is finally summer hot. It really hasn't been bad yet but today is 93ish and almost no breeze. I'm hibernating in the house trying to organize my school stuff. 14 years of stuff is a lot to sift through. I think Leann is moving to 2nd grade to she'll take her things back to Stillwater and also any of my things that she can use. I'll need my pre-K and Kdg things for my new class. Speaking of that, I went today and picked up my key and security code for the building. Tulsa doesn't give keys to teachers so it will be great to be able to get in and work in my room w/o having to track someone down. I also went to the first morning of Autism Camp at one of the elementary schools. I got to meet 3 of my kids. One of them sat down beside me and put his arm around me so I think we are off to a good start. He didn't have a very good year last year so I was worried at how he would react to me. All three are boys and in 3rd grade. I will probably have 1 more boy and 1 girl. I also met the para that will probably be with me. She's awesome with the kids. I have a feeling I will learn a lot from her. She had a great rapport with the kids.
More later, the chicken for dinner is almost done (Clint is making dinner, I'm just boiling it first) and the laundry needs switched. Oh, it never ends. When do I have time to work??????

Happy 4th of July
Wow, I didn't realize it had been a month since I posted anything. Leann and I assessed for national board certification in June and that took a lot of my time. During one of the massive rain storms, the garage flooded which seeped (ya right, how about gushed) into the game room. This of course was in the middle of the night so I wake up to Clint yelling for me to help. We had about 2 inches of water in the game room before we got the wet vac going. We used towels to slow the water and then sucked it up as it came in under the door. That lasted about an hour before it finally stopped coming in. Now we have a really great reason to toss a bunch of stuff from the garage. It had about 3 inches of water standing in it. the next morning, John stopped by and he looked at the driveway. Since the garage had never flooded before we knew something had changed. Well, I had moved some railroad ties around in the driveway and had created a dam so the drainage was diverted into the garage. Yes, I'm the brilliant person responsible for the flooded garage. See, I'm really blond and dye my hair dark. Speaking of dyed hair, I thought I'd try to have less roots showing and used "soft black" as my color choice. I don't know what brain burp I had that thought "soft black" would be dark brown which is my usual color, but when I finished, I was really glad Clint was at a ABA conference for the weekend. I looked a little goth. No one seemed to think it looked as bad as I do, just different. We had the Barker family reunion in Mountainburg last weekend. It was great to see everyone. next year we are going to have it at the park at Lake Fort Smith. We drove around to see the changes since they flooded the spillway and expanding the lake. They have a really nice picnic area with canoe rental, paddle boats, pontoon boats and a pool. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is Mom's 76th birthday. We had girl's night (Plus Daddy & Royal) with dinner at Hooligans and then the casino. I didn't go to the casino but brought Daddy home. I'm NEVER lucky at the slot machines so I'd rather spend my money on shoes. Mom wins quite a bit and Pequitta is VERY lucky. I guess the Lord knows that I'd spend way too much time there if I ever won:)
Zoey was very cute at dinner. Victoria had her dancing on the table. We were the only ones in that area so it was FINE. She is talking a lot and has her own mind. I think it is hilarious but then I don't have to live with her. She was very happy to see her Tula (Victoria). We were at Holligans for over an hour and she was very well behaved. She's a good kid.
Leann is in town for the next three weeks. We are assessing for national boards. It will be great to have her here that long. I'm sure she'll go home on the weekends. Phil is such a baby-JK

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains...
Well, we didn't have much damage at our house but Beth's mailbox was ripped out of the ground. We had power issues at church but Wade didn't let that stop him:) Wade (our pastor) is teaching a series about the perceptions that people 18-30somethings have about Christians and Christianity. Next Sunday will be about homosexuality. That should be interesting. This Sunday's was about NOT being a hypocrite. He had some really good points so if you are interested you could probably find it on the web. Wade Hodgins or Garnett Church of Christ. Something similar will probably get you to it.
Wyatt is finally back home. He spent most of last week with one of his buddies. Well, they were all at Scott's house b/c Scott left this morning for basic training with the Marine Corp. Ray was suppose to leave too but broke his foot playing football this past weekend. He's limping around on crutches.
Ethan had a basketball game this evening. They won by about 10. I think it was Union that they played. I forget how much I love watching him play until that first game after a break. His defense was awesome. He hasn't been shooting baskets so he'll have to get back into the swing of offense. He will have basketball camps this summer. I think he's going to the OSU basketball and baseball camps. I'm glad I'm going to be assessing. He's not a cheap date....
Clint and I are volunteering at a summer reading program through Garnett. Today's class was cancelled b/c of the power outages and tomorrow is also cancelled. Maybe they'll have everything back open by Wednesday. I did get some things done today though. Some junk hauled off, lots more still left.

The Joys of Summer
Well, the school year is finally over for me. Leann's last day was last Friday but since Tulsa missed a full week during the ice storm we had to come back this week. My class was definetely ready to be in middle school:) Summer won't actually start for me until July. I'm volunteering at a literacy program next week and then I have national board assessing.
I took a job in Sapulpa for next year. Since I've been at Park since dinosaurs roamed the earth it will be a shock to me this August. I will be teaching a multi-handicapped class of 3/4/5th graders. I'll have 7 or fewer and 3 para-teachers. The program is new so I will get to help set it up. I'm really excited about it.
Mom and Daddy are doing well. Wyatt is still celebrating getting out of high school. He's been home only a few times since last Friday. Ethan is driving and NEVER home now. He's playing baseball and visiting with friends a lot.
I took Mom and Daddy to decorate Corey's grave last Friday. I can't believe it has been 3 and a half years since he died. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and other times it seems like forever since I've heard him laugh and rubbed his burred off hair. He would stop by the house after a hair cut and let me rub. I really miss him.
On a happier note, It is the last day of school and I'm NOT staying late to straighten my room. That's what Friday nights are for, right?
We are still praying for a job for Clint. He's applying and networking as much as he can.

There can be only one.........
That's right people, after tomorrow night when Zack graduates, there will be only Ethan left in high school. Wyatt graduated Monday night. I did really well until they announced the names of the students that had joined the armed forces. Of the 7 students, 4 are good buddies of Wyatt. Zack Bertelli joined Air Force Reserves and Kyle, Scott & Ray joined the Marines. Well, this brought on the tears. I got it together for the rest of the ceremony, but had a major headache by the end of it that was making me nauseous. Clint and I watched our Monday evening TV shows when we got home. One of the characters died on House and I'm a blubbering mess. Clint was wise enough to realize that it wasn't about the show, but that I had finally hit the wall. So I just went to bed and slept it off.
Tuesday, Ethan went to get his license. Driver's license. Yes, he can be ALONE when he drives. I'm now really poor because even though his dad bought him a truck, he lives with me so he has to be on my policy. Same with Wyatt. So I pay for 2 teenage boys to drive. Donations are always welcome:)

6 square feet of cookie..........
Well, we had the big family hooha at Jan's yesterday. It was so nice to have the family together. We were all there except Lindsay's crew. Jan and Paul have finished the landscaping around their pool in the backyard. It is awesome. Phil cooked the burgers (as usual). Leann brought strawberry shortcake. Yum. Clint and I took a cookie from Mrs. Field's. It was 24" X 36". We had them decorate it into 3 sections, one for the birthdays, one for graduations, and Leann and Phil's 25th anniversary. We had a lot left over so there goes what weight I've lost.
Zoey had STRONG opinions about the pool. (It was funny since I don't have to live with her) I made the mistake of putting my feet in the water which got her VERY interested. At one point, she fell in. Fortunately, Uncle Zack and Pops (Paul) were close by. Zack jumped in to get her and Paul grabbed her about the same time. It made her mad more than it scared her. She's fearless when it comes to the water. I think they are going to enroll her at Miller swim school.
Graduations are this week. Wyatt (and Ashlee) graduate tonight and Zack's is on Thursday. That leaves Ethan as the only one still in high school. Bring on the kleenex, I'm going to need it. I can't believe how fast time has gone. The other day, I was watching old home videos. The girls were about 3, Corey was 5 and Cole and Arin were toddlers. Zack and my boys weren't even twinkles in our eyes yet. It was taken in June, 1987 at Pequetta and Royal's house for Mom's birthday. I laughed as much at our hairstyles as I did at the kids playing. Did we really think that looked good? At least I was thin back then.
More later after graduations............

"Do you know where....."
If I had a dime for each time one of the boys (or Clint) asked me "Do you know where my____is?" I'd be rich enough to run away. Wyatt called me Friday and asked me to look in the car for his wallet. Not there. Clint calls Sunday (during my NAP) and asked if his wallet was in the bedroom. No. Fortunately, Wyatt's buddy Bertelli found his wallet when it dropped out of his pocket. Wyatt was trying to get comfy enough in class to take a nap (hey, he's a senior with only a week left) and I found Clint's wallet under the desk. I guess guys aren't like us girls. I actually check to make sure I have my purse before I leave the house. It does help that my keys are in my purse. But seriously, have a routine! And, if they don't have something, what makes them think I do? Oh, ya, probably because I usually know where it is or I can find it. One time, Ethan actually called me while I was in Dallas and asked me if I knew where is ball glove was. I'll admit, this was 5 years ago, but things really haven't changed. At least I know I'd be missed, even it if is for my mom radar..........
Seriously now, we had a great mother's day. Ashlee started it off on Saturday by bringing me flowers. It's a pink bouquet that is gorgeous. Then, the boys were with friends, Clint was at work and Mom & Daddy were at the casino so I had Saturday evening to myself so I went shopping. I got mom a photo album she wanted but didn't really find anything else that screamed 'buy me for your mommy' so I'll have to make it up with chocolate. Clint took me to lunch on Sunday. We went to Hideaway pizza. Not to busy, I guess most people took their moms to a little more classy place. Still, someone waited on me & cleaned up my mess so I was very happy. Oh wait, Clint does the cooking AND cleans the kitchen so it makes me wonder who really had a gift yesterday..............
The boys promised to go to church with me for Mother's Day. We are starting a series about why 18-29 year olds don't like church. During the preview questions and stats Wade gave yesterday, I could relate to EVERY one of them. I love going to a church that stresses knowing Jesus over everything else.
I got an email that asks people to pray for the next election and our nation. Every evening at 8:00 (central) you are suppose to stop and pray for America and our leaders. I'm going to be one of the ones praying. Winston Churchill asked England to do this during WWII. Worked for them:)
12 days and counting until Tulsa is out. Ethan has until next Friday. I'm not sure when Wyatt is finished. This Friday I think. This spring has gone really fast. Time usually drags between spring break and the end of the school year but not this year. Summer time is almost here. Get out your shades because I'm very white........

Ethan Baby is 16!!!
Can you believe that the youngest grandbaby is 16????? Ethan's birthday was Wednesday. He went to Kenzie's (yes, mom has been replaced by someone MUCH cuter and more interesting) and then they came back to the house to hang out. She baked him a cake. He needs to keep her 'cause she can bake. The cake was yummy. Sawyer, Jordan and Dylan came over and decorated his room. He has streamers and balloons everywhere. I think he had a pretty good day. (Except for that algebra test.........)
Wyatt is in the final countdown to graduation. He's ready. His 'vette sold (thank you Uncle Phil) so he can get the engine replaced in his truck. Wednesday night he called from Scott's house to see if I was watching the weather. Well, I couldn't watch the weather because the satellite was out. Did this register in my brain that maybe I should check it out? Of course not. While I was talking to Wyatt, Victoria called to see if we were taking cover. I got the dogs (medicated Lance first) and went in my room. Ethan and Kenzie got Bud and went in the den and waited out the torential rains and winds. Nothing touched down. Mom called from the casino. They weren't moving to any shelters (priorities, right?) so I guess the reports of just ugly clouds were right. When it was all over, Lance is stoned and half under my bed, Nadia is annoyed at the commotion b/c it interupted her nap but Bud is thrilled at getting to come inside and eat all of the leftover food in the dog's bowls. Ethan put him out on the deck instead of in his kennal and Bud rolled in the charcoal. This morning he looked like a chimney sweep. Guess Wyatt will be giving him a bath.

Go Pokes!
Well, Victoria is officially a grown up now. She graduated from OSU on Saturday. Mom, Dad, me, Ethan, Wyatt & Ashlee, Beth, Jan and Whitney & Zoey were all there. Fortunately, we were there before they STOPPED LETTING PEOPLE INTO GALLAGHER/IBA. The fire dept. turned away about 2000 people b/c it was standing room only inside. We finally found a chair for Mom and Daddy to share. The boys (Cole too) sat 1 row from the top. I joined them and thought I was going to die before I got all the way to the top. Same for Beth. Anyway, Leann & Phil planned a reception for her so we got to visit afterwards. We are so proud of her!!!!! She is the first one of the grandbabies to graduate college. Leann kept it together, but Jan & Whitney cried. Zoey loves her Tula. (that's what shew calls Torie) Phil made this fabulous punch and they had fruits, cheese, veggies and a really big cake. EVerything was yummy and I stole some of the punch. Actually, Phil said I could take some home. I'm thinking a little Asti would be great with it:)
Well, 17 more days of school for Tulsa Public. I think we go longer than EVERYONE else.

I'm dizzy and I need to lie down!
I know the title sounds like this would be a funny story but it isn't. Sick humor is how I deal, so deal with it. Anyway, Thursday about 1:00, Mom calls me at school and says that she is VERY dizzy and can I come home and drive her to the doctor? She saw her doc and her heart is FINE. She has a sinus infection and that is what caused the dizziness. But, she found out she missed her pacemaker check in MARCH so we also went to her cardiologist office for a reading. She thought she had an appointment on Monday, so the nurse called to check. No appointment scheduled. Mom pulls out her reminder card and it says May 5th. of last year. We go over to Oklahoma Heart and her pacemaker is fine. She's on medicine and was feeling better by yesterday evening. Personally, I think it was the chocolate I bought her at the store but that's just my opinion.
Victoria's graduation from OSU is Saturday. We are all going to watch and yell as loudly as we can. Unless it is a formal ceremony, then we'll clap politely and yell later:) She's the first grandchild to graduate college. Arin has 2(?) more years at OU unless he changes his major again. Wyatt & Zach are enrolled at TCC for the fall semester. We are a smart bunch, huh?

Bigger is better
Spring fever has hit me HARD. So, when I'm restless or otherwise crazier than usual, I shop. Well, since Clint & I have finally gotten a hold on our budget, I was fighting the urge. Alas, I found an ad for a 52 inch big screen for sale while I was looking through the paper. So, two weeks later I called the number. Yes, it was still for sale. So, Clint and I went and looked at it and bought it. This is ALL for Grandma's benefit. Now the boys and their friends can watch TV and play video games on a big screen DOWNSTAIRS and leave the upstairs clean. That was the rationale anyway. We are going to pick it up tonight. I really wish I had gotten the game room completely cleaned out first. Clint told me I wouldn't get finished and I said "Yes, I WILL!" I hate it when he's right. I've got to get a path cleared so we can put it where it will go. Clint wanted to put it in our den, but then I'll NEVER get the game room cleaned out and the boys will want to be in there. Sorry, no, that is mine and Clint's 'getaway from people' room. By people, I mean teenagers. Mom and Daddy have been so wonderful with the constant flow of young people through the house. Actually, the kids and their friends do a pretty good job of keeping quiet while they are trying to sleep. It doesn't hurt that Mom and Dad have become night owls in their retirement.
We are having a big hoohah at Jan's the Sunday after Mother's Day. We are celebrating 3 birthdays, 3 graduations and 1 anniversary. Can you say "Big freakin cake?"

Nance Boy's News
Ethan's last season game is Saturday in Muskogee. They play Friday afternoon in BA. He'll have a few short weeks break until summer ball starts.
Ethan has 26 more days until he gets his license. (He's the one counting, not me.) I have really mixed feelings about my baby turning 16. It is nice now that a few of his friends drive to not be his personal driver but then again, I know he's growing up.
What is REALLY hard to handle is Wyatt starting college. We are going tomorrow to get him enrolled in TCC. He's going to take advantage of the Tulsa Achieves scholarship. It is such a great program.
The boys are doing great.

News from the Nance's
Ethan's baseball games Saturday were VERY interesting. The homeplate umpire didn't call a strike on the other team unless they actually SWUNG at the ball. It was so bad that other team's fans were making fun of the umpire and commenting on the calls. We lost 10-8 so we played again at 4:45. I didn't go to that game because Ethan pitched the first game (one of 4 pitchers that game) so he didn't play the second game. They won the second game but I don't remember what he said the score was.
Wyatt had a game Sunday. He pitched and did great. The other team didn't score while Wyatt was pitching but they lost 8-4. He went 2/3 and 1 walk?? I had to leave early for small group but I think that is what he said. Both the boys are taking End of Instruction tests at school right now. Yuk.
Wyatt's graduation is Monday, May 19th at ORU Maybee center. I think it starts at 7:00.

Greetings from Bob & Lea
Next year Bob says we are not coming back home from TX until June and maybe he could feel warm. We'll see. We were having very warm days in Harlingen. So glad Tammy started this blog. I have enjoyed the triplets blog and finally Whitney started one for Zoey. This will be fun to see what everybody is doing.
Johnson Family News
Since Zoey and the Trips have their own blog, I thought I'd make one for the entire family. There's always something exciting, funny or embarrassing going on with us so blogging makes it easy to share all the joys of being related to a Johnson. I'll go first:
Ethan is in a baseball tournament in Claremore this weekend. They are playing right now but I'm at school and couldn't go. Who schedules these things? If it doesn't get rained out (this is Oklahoma in April) then he plays Friday afternoon and I can make that one. Good thing since I've heard he's going to pitch.
Wyatt is playing baseball with Andrew (Whit's hubby) on the weekends. He's the best player out there (I'm a little biased) Last Sunday was the first game he played with them. There were 10 people who showed up to watch (it was REALLY COLD) and of the 10, 7 were there to see Wyatt. Me, Jimmy, Penny, Kristi, Ashlee & Ashlee's mom & sister were there to harass, um, cheer him on. He's still got the touch.
Clint is still looking for a full time position preferably in the law field. School is winding down for the year and we are almost done with the state tests (Hallelujah!). It will be HOT summertime soon and I'm ready for it. Wyatt's graduation is May 19th at ORU. I'm not sure about the time. Ethan turns 16 in a couple of weeks. (I'm not old enough to have my youngest be 16.) I've heard about how great empty nests are (not from Mom because I'm still there) but I'm not ready for it. Wyatt wants to move out this summer and Ethan is only 3 years behind that. I know it is a long way off, but the past few years have gone by so fast that it will be here before I know it. The boys and their friends hang out at our house a lot and I really enjoy them being there. I could do without the mess they leave but it is worth it. The up side to an empty nest is that I can probably quit working since I won't be feeding so many teenage boys.
