Well, I was really bragging about how I hadn't been sick and everyone else had. Should have known better. I finally got it. Body ache, headache, stuffy or snotty, depending on the time and ear ache. I've taken Nyquil for the past 36 hours and feel better. I'm still shaky when I get up so I took today off too. Well, I'm not at school but I'm working on portfolios for my kiddos. I have to compile a portfolio on them instead of having them participate in the state testing. It is a lot of work, but will show how much they have gained this year. Fortunately it is online and I can access it from home.
Ashlee went to the doc again today. Same report. Dropping but still not ready to leave the comfort of mommy's belly yet. Already a momma's boy:) I'll keep you posted.

The true countdown begins.......
Carson Cole should arrive at any time. Ashlee went to the doc on Wednesday and he said she could go into labor at any time. So far, no labor pains but we are hopeful. I told her this weekend would be really convienent for me but she and Carson aren't cooperating:) I also told her to eat a large pizza by herself- I've heard that will induce labor. I guess she isn't desperate enough to risk the totally miserable feeling if she didn't go into labor after a large pizza. Anyway, keep checking back and you bet I'll post the minute he's here.

You know it is Baseball season when...
The weather turns COLD again. Ethan's last basketball game was Thursday night and his first baseball game is Monday. So, naturally, the weather has to go from being in the high 60's to barely in the 40's over the weekend. I just took the dogs out and believe me, it is COLD out there. So, when I'm done posting, I'm going to go back to bed and put my cold feet and hands on Clint. hehe Don't ya just love true love? Speaking of which, 10 years ago this weekend Clint and I had a really nice dinner at Ti'Amo's. I'm sure I didn't spell that right. But anyway, we discussed religious beliefs, child raising beliefs, and other issues we thought had to be insinc before 2 people could be successful in a relationship. At this point we were only 'dating' and were really just friends. Well, two days later, Clint asked me to marry him. At first I told him no, I had a hard time legally binding myself to anyone again, and I'd go through a religious ceremony but no liscense. Well, Lelia should be proud of how he turned out because he said no. Either yes, really, or we'd just date, but he wouldn't live with me without being legally married. (bad example for the boys) So, I didn't want to be without him so I said yes. The past 10 years have been full of ups and downs. We've had money, been broke, gone days without speaking and talked for hours on end, lost a child together (Corey and Clint had a great relationship) and somehow we are still committed to each other. It hasn't been easy but what marraige is?
Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day. My prayer for anyone reading this is that if you are married, fight for it and if you aren't, that you find someone who loves you and is a man (or woman) of character that will stand with you (sometimes beside, sometimes behind keeping you upright, and sometimes in front, dragging you when you'd rather give up).
