Well, we had a scare last week. Clint had meetings in OKC so I went with him. I left earlier than he did because I had the car and he had the Gold Wing, so when I checked out of the hotel, I just headed home. On Clint's way home as he exited from one highway to another, his right arm wouldn't 'work'. He thought maybe it had fallen asleep, but he was going 75 mph so it was frightening. He managed to get the bike stopped and waited until it passed. He gets home and tells me about it. Not 15 minutes later, he has another episode, this time I can see what is going on. The right side of his face is drooping and he can't stick his tongue out straight. He's also slurring his words. Well, I was with Mom when she had her stroke so I knew what was going on, except what 38 year old has a stroke? I took him to the ER and not 20 minutes after we got there, it happened again so the docs could see for themselves what was going on. Clint was admitted and they did a long list of tests. The CT scan and EKG in the ER were fine. The MRI showed where he had bled in his brain confirming a stroke. The doc said it was genetic since he's so young. His cholesterol and blood pressure are a little high, but not enough to cause a stroke. He had plaque in his brain that broke loose. Anyway, THERE IS NO PERMANENT DAMAGE as far as they can tell. He has medications that will regulate everything. We know there were a lot of people praying for him and believe God healed the area of the brain where he bled.
Being as he's a workaholic, he went to work yesterday. Yes, 12 hours after getting out of the hospital he's at work. He only worked 1/2 day, and today 3/4 of a day. He can't drive yet so I'm being chauffeur. He isn't suppose to be on the bike for 3-6 months. Yah, we'll see who wins this one:)
Carson is growing and getting more brilliant every day. I'll post more pics as soon as I remember to get my camera out of Ashlee's car.

The family get together was awesome! We were there by about 5:30 and didn't eat until after 7:30. Phil and Cole grilled chicken, shrimp, veggies and pineapple. You know you have a great family when you can sit around talking and not realize how much time has gone by. Jan's house and backyard are wonderful for entertaining so we can spread out and visit. Clint watched Phil work and was REALLY wanting to help, but didn't want to get in the way.
Carson was very patient with everyone passing him around. I think the only family that didn't hold him was Clint and Arin:) Neither one of them are 'baby' people. Clint holds him some, but he'd rather just talk to him while someone else holds:) Ashlee, Wyatt and Carson got a lot of presents. I bought a pair of tiny flip flops. They are the cutest things you've ever seen.
We also celebrated Mom's 77th birthday. She can run circles around me. Her and Daddy make me tired most of the time. All of the boy's friends call them Grandma and Grandpa. Can't get any more blessed than have parents EVERYONE loves!

Party, party, party
We are going to have Mom's 77th birthday and a baby shower for Carson at Jan's tomorrow. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Ethan is busy playing basketball. He opted to not play baseball this summer. I'm actually glad. Basketball is inside and baseball gets HOT by the time the season ends. After all, Ethan should think about me when he makes these decisions:) Ha Ha!
The triplets & Charlie got tubes in their ears. They are all doing well. Lindsay is suppose to be here next week so we'll have to visit and take pictures.
Victoria is still having physical therapy on her shoulder. I'm glad (knock on wood) that I haven't had any major injuries. I know it hurts every time she has to go. She can't work with her kids and I know she misses them. Keep her in your prayers.
The boy's dad had rotator cuff surgery. He's in physical therapy too. He's out for about 4 months. At least he picked the hottest time of the year to NOT put on 20 pounds of gear and go into a burning house.
Wyatt and Ashlee (and Carson) are doing great. She is going to work at White House/Black Marget in Utica Square. I looked at the website. Very expensive. Too much for my teacher's salary but VERY nice clothing and shoes.
Clint is really busy at work. He had a client they referred to him (not through the homeless shelter) but because she is deaf. He really enjoyed getting to use his signing skills and realized how rusty he's gotten. Ethan took sign 1 this year and is taking sign 2 next year. I'm not sure I want them to be able to talk and me not understand what they are saying.
I'll post pictures of the party soon. SUMMER HAS STARTED!!!!!
